I am in the night
I am every part of it
The consumption of its beast
The deck that it deals
The veins that bleed
The caress of its serpent

I am the night
As it writhes and undulates toward dawn
It moans and cries a symphony of anger
I am its agony as it struggles against the light
And dies with the strike of the Sun God.

"Disconnect" leads off the ROLLINS BAND's breakthrough album, WEIGHT. The years of contant touring have turned the band into one of the loudest and tightest in rock. The years of writing, speaking, screaming and sweat have made Henry Rollins one of his generation's most important artists. Add the dense style of new bassist Melvin Gibbs, and WEIGHT is a heavy rage experience. Touring worldwide in 1994.

Produced by Theo Van Rock. Recorded by Peter Rave.
Taken from the album "WEIGHT".

Dave's Comments:

This is yet another Imago compilation style promotional disc. I wonder if perhaps the reason Imago fell out of favour with BMG/Chrysalis was because they spent so much on these strange compilation promo CDs.
