I am in the night
I am every part of it
The consumption of its beast
The deck that it deals
The veins that bleed
The caress of its serpent

I am the night
As it writhes and undulates toward dawn
It moans and cries a symphony of anger
I am its agony as it struggles against the light
And dies with the strike of the Sun God.

-Rough Guide To Rock

We were on out second tour of Australia and played a show at Triple J FM, a radio station in Sydney. We played in front of the opening band, their girlfriends, assorted crew and others. We were doing "Earache" a lot on that tour so it showed up in the set as well as a song called "Out There" which we tried to record a few times in the studio but never could get it to fit on tape. This tape had been sitting in storage for many years and I thought it would be cool to get it out to you.

Dave's Comments:

What can I say ... this is the good stuff! My favourite way to experience the Rollins Band is in live form, but a recording of a live performance is definitely a close second, and this one is a must-buy. The sound is great, the band rocks, and a couple of reasonably rare tracks get played. This peformance of OUT THERE is a classic, and the band finishes off with EARACHE MY EYE, which can be found on a couple of other discs (the TEARING single and HAMMER OF THE ROK GODZ). If you have previously enjoyed any of the early Rollins Band CDs, you really should go out and get this one!

An obscure piece of trivia: The sticker on this CD which you need to take off before you can open the jewel case was labelled DO IT and not INSERT BAND HERE.
